Personal Blog

I always imagined Turks and Caicos as a remote honeymoon Caribbean destination and never as a place for a girls’ trip. It was my first girls’ getaway since becoming a mom. We were drawn to the island’s breathtaking beauty—its turquoise waters and pristine white sandy beaches—making it an irresistible choice. What I didn’t expect was how much adventure this supposed honeymoon spot had to offer.

We kicked off our days with heavy breakfasts to fuel our adventures. We were in awe as we kayaked alongside sea turtles, and we even had the chance to hold a real live conch, watching the snail-like creature move. Riding horses through the land and water  felt like an unforgettable journey, as we trotted through the turquoise waters. We also parasailed over the same blue waters and snorkeled through vibrant Caribbean reefs, spotting colorful fish along the way. Each experience we shared brought laughter, smiles, tears, and unforgettable memories.

We enjoyed our daily strolls along Grace Bay Beach taking in the stunning views of the crystal-clear waters as we reflected on life in general. Our lunches and dinners were enjoyed at some of the most exquisite hotels in Turks and Caicos.

Though this trip was certainly one of the most expensive I’ve taken, it was also one of the most liberating and unforgettable experiences of my life. I left the country with one of the worst facial sunburns yet the happiest glow I’ve experienced.
